Ways to Take Care of Your Vacuum Bottles

Vacuum bottles are part of everyday life just like its mandatory to buy RO water purifiers today. They are used mainly to maintain the temperature of our beverages for a longer duration, which is not possible in plastic bottles. Due to their many advantages over ordinary bottles they are even more expensive when compared. Hence they must be maintained and cleaned thoroughly for a longer durability as we do for any other product but their construction makes it difficult to clean them. Few ways are listed here on how to take care of vacuum flasks:

Do’s: *By using tea bags: This is the most convenient method. Put a tea bag in the vacuum flask and add boiling water, leave this overnight and rinse thoroughly in the morning to get a spotless bottle. Clean your bottles thoroughly before buying a water purifier for home.

*Apple cider vinegar and baking soda: Baking soda is basic in nature and apple cider vinegar is acidic. They react together causing bubbling and a fizzing noise. Their acidic and basic properties make them suitable for cleaning. First rinse the flask and then add 1 or 2 tablespoon of baking soda to the vacuum flask. Then add about an inch of vinegar to it. Without closing the cap allow the reaction to occur. After the reaction has proceeded add some boiling water into the flask and shake it well. Make sure the Vacuum flask is not intended just for cool substances as adding boiling water to it might damage it. Shake the flask lightly and later loosen the cap to release pressure and then drain the mixture and rinse thoroughly.

Don’ts: We buy vacuum bottles easily as we buy RO water purifiers but maintaining them is not easy. Here are few things we must avoid while dealing with vacuum bottles.
*Vacuum flasks are usually cleaned with warm water but make sure that your vacuum bottle is not meant for only cool substances as cleaning them with warm water might damage them.

*Never submerge the bottle into water while cleaning as the water might enter between the bottle and the liner and damage it.

*Never use chlorine bleach to clean vacuum bottle because it may cause severe damage to the steel welded part of the bottle.
Cleaning the bottle regularly with pure water from water purifier for home makes them germ free and increases its durability. These points mentioned above will definitely be helpful in your process of cleaning the vacuum bottles.
